India’s Breakthrough: Unveiling the Indrajaal Ranger, the Nation’s First Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle
A historic milestone for India was marked with the unveiling of the Indrajaal Ranger, the country’s first mobile Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle. The launch event was graced by the ceremonial lamp lighting led by Lt. Gen. Devendra Pratap Pandey, Kiran Raju, Sunil Kumar, Wg Cdr Giriraj Singh Punia (Retd), Karthikeya Anam, and Vamssy V.
Developed in response to recent national security challenges involving cross-border drone threats, the Ranger represents India’s own robust defense against the increasing menace of unmanned aerial vehicles used for smuggling drugs, weapons, and other illegal activities.
“Every drone intercepted protects Indian lives. Our mission is to secure our airspace, protect our citizens, and ensure India’s security remains self-reliant,” said Kiran Raju, Founder & CEO.
Unveiled on 26 November 2025 by Indrajaal Drone Defence, the Ranger operates on a rugged all-terrain 4×4 platform powered by its AI-driven “SkyOS” engine. It offers a dynamic, on-the-move solution far advanced beyond fixed anti-drone systems.
With a detection range of up to 10 km and neutralization capabilities reaching 4 km, the vehicle employs a spectrum of countermeasures—from cyber takeovers and signal jamming (soft-kill) to deploying interceptor drones (hard-kill). This versatile approach handles threats ranging from lone quadcopters to complex drone swarms.
Indrajaal’s Ranger is a significant step forward in bolstering India’s border security and combating the growing threat of drone-enabled smuggling and attacks.
