Moonrider raises USD 6 Mn through Series A round
Moonrider.ai has raised $ 6Mn through Series A round funding.
The funding round was led by pi Ventures, with participation from Singularity AMC and existing investors Advantedge Founders and Micelio.
The fresh capital will be deployed to advance vehicle engineering, enhance proprietary battery technology, and conduct rigorous durability testing across diverse soil and climate conditions in India and global markets.
Moonrider is revolutionizing agriculture’s core machinery by creating electric tractors that are cleaner, significantly more affordable to run, and engineered from the ground up for durability. While the world shifts rapidly toward electrification, tractors have remained some of the last fossil fuel-dependent vehicles in the food production chain. Moonrider changes this with a purpose-built electric vehicle platform that delivers diesel-level performance, cuts operating costs by over 70%, and integrates smart features like fast charging, over-the-air updates, and AI-powered diagnostics.
Rather than retrofitting existing models, Moonrider is building from scratch. Their deep vertical integration – covering battery systems, battery management, drivetrain, and transmission – has unlocked the ultimate goal of agricultural electrification: achieving price competitiveness with diesel without sacrificing torque or reliability.
pi Ventures believes this platform will transform farm economics not only in India but also in global markets driven by smallholders and fleets. They proudly support Anoop Srikantaswamy, Ravi Kulkarni, and the Moonrider team as they move toward a full commercial launch.
The next green revolution is electric – and it’s rolling forward.
