Fund Raising

Omspace Successfully Closes 25 crore Funding to Power India’s First Reusable Small Launch Vehicle

Bestvantage Investments, a boutique investment advisory firm, has successfully advised and facilitated a 25 crore pre-seed funding round for Omspace Rocket and Exploration, India’s pioneering space-tech startup building the country’s first Reusable Small Launch Vehicle (RSLV). The round was led by the family office of Dubai-based investor Mr. Surya.

This raise marks a significant milestone not only for Omspace’s mission to democratize access to space but also for Bestvantage’s vision of backing transformative businesses shaping the future of high-growth industries.

Founded in 2020, Omspace is developing Infinity-I, a cutting-edge launch vehicle with a reusable first stage capable of re-launching within 24–48 hours, a first-of-its-kind capability in India. The vehicle is projected to cost $3–4 million per rocket, with per-launch revenues expected to reach $2 million annually by the fourth year of operations.

“Omspace exemplifies the kind of visionary entrepreneurship we aim to support. This partnership reflects our commitment to enabling groundbreaking innovations and ensuring they have the resources, strategy, and network to scale globally,” said Raman Sharma, Founder & CEO of Bestvantage Investments.

“We are building the future of India in space, and this is just the beginning. With the global small satellite launch market expected to surge past $55 billion, and India still accounting for only 2% of this rapidly growing sector, Omspace is determined to help India grow its market share to 15% by 2035. This funding is not just about capital, it’s about belief in our vision to make space more accessible, faster, and more affordable,” said Dr Ravindra Raj Founder and CEO, Omspac.

Since its inception, Omspace has made impressive strides in its growth journey. The company has successfully completed two tests of its solid fuel rocket engine and conducted ignitor testing for its liquid cryogenic engine. It has set up its corporate office and facilities in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and expanded internationally with a branch in Sharjah, UAE. Omspace has also signed 44 MoUs with prominent institutions and partners, including MIT Pune, SRM Chennai, and VIT Bhopal, totalling commitments worth USD 2.05 million. Additionally, through its space tech training program, the company has trained over 55,000 students, with 25–30% pursuing opportunities abroad with letters of recommendation and 20–25% securing jobs in the space industry.

The funding round will accelerate the next phase of development, which includes the third test of the solid fuel engine, a sub-orbital rocket launch (sound rocket), and advanced testing of its liquid cryogenic engine. The company will also enhance infrastructure, onboard specialized talent, deploy advanced simulation tools, and begin reusability testing and system integration for Infinity-I.

Omspace is supported by IN-SPACe and the ISRO startup ecosystem and has gained recognition from multiple prestigious programs. It received the Gujarat Government’s OCD Grant of INR 10 lakhs, was selected for the AWS Space Accelerator Program led by T-Hub in Hyderabad, and was featured in the International SpaceTech Startup Supporting Program organized by the Taiwan Government (TAcc+).
